As part of our Racial Equity Commitments, Uber created the daunting commitment to offering this training to approximately 3500 people managers which then grew to 4500 people managers post-launch. Uber partnered with Firefly to design, develop and deploy the “Advancing Anti-Racism at Uber” program across the organization to its various locations around the world – starting with the executive leadership team.
As of December 2023, 7,898 people managers and leaders have completed this program.
They have been invaluable in customizing the training to Uber globally and within each of our key regions! This has taken a ton of work and commitment, and I appreciate their openness to a lot of diverse voices, perspectives, and feedback.
Firefly has been an outstanding partner in designing and delivering our Advancing Anti-Racism training for all People Managers. As part of our Racial Equity Commitments, Uber created the daunting commitment to offering this training to approximately 3500 people managers which then grew to 4500 people managers post-launch.
There are four modules to deliver, and they were open to various delivery options to support Uber's culture. They have been invaluable in customizing the training to Uber globally and within each of our key regions! This has taken a ton of work and commitment, and I appreciate their openness to a lot of diverse voices, perspectives, and feedback. They have also been masters in building out a detailed schedule to support us globally, and their facilitators have been top-notch.
We continue to get great feedback on this training and their facilitators and expect Firefly to be our partner for many years to come in some regard. They are going to be instrumental in helping us become more self-sufficient in this delivery as well. No matter what our ask has been, they deliver and respond super quickly!

Oana and the Firefly team were critical inputs to the success and scalability of our support training program. Without them and their expertise, we would likely have been unable to develop the capstone training module that our program required. This has enabled us to provide content that was more closely aligned to the diverse experiences of our 40k+ support agents around the globe. As a part of this work, we gave the team the complex task of customizing our capstone to nine unique cultural sub-regions and localized into nine languages. The team approached this task head-on, and provided us with a simple and elegant approach that enabled an easy process for me and my team to upload the finalized learning program. The materials developed will play a critical role in ensuring Uber is able to maintain our commitments to providing specialized training for our support agents, leading to a more inclusive experience for Uber’s customers.
